GAI-Tronics Division 2 Industrial Telephones are approved for select Division 2 areas. Providing communications in Division 2 areas has traditionally required the installation of Division 1 approved equipment which exceeds the Division 2 standards and drives costs higher than necessary. GAI-Tronics offers economical alternatives. The models 351-001 Outdoor Industrial Telephone provides a fully-functional, line-powered communications that are approved for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D ; Class II, Division 2, Groups F and G; Class III classified areas. Our outdoor models have a Type 3R weatherproof rating. Housed in corrosion-resistant enclosures, these units offer superior resistance to chemicals, solvents, salts, and extreme temper atures. Each unit is equipped with a chrome-plated zinc keypad that is fully sealed to prevent entry of dirt, contaminants, and water. The coiled handset cord on our non-metallic models (341-001 and 351-001) is molded of thermoplastic elastomeric to pr ovide outstanding performance, memory, and long life. The non-movable handset cradle uses a proximity-detecting switch to take the phone off-hook. Designed for operation within a temperature range of -40º C (-40º F) to 60º C (140º F).
