Description
Drip-Shield Screw-Cover, Type 3R is used as a wiring or junction box to protect controls in outdoor applications that require protection from rain, sleet, snow or dripping water.
For the following items, the body top and bottom thickness is 16 gauge (1.6mm): A24R246(NK), A24R248(NK), A30R248(NK), A24R2410(NK), A30R2410.
For the following items, the body top thickness is 14 gauge (2.0mm) and the body bottom thickness is 16 gauge (1.6mm): A48R368(NK), A24R2412(NK), A30R3012(NK), A36R3012(NK), A36R3612(NK), A30R3016(NK), A48R3616(NK).
Main Features
- Drip shield top and seam-free sides, front, and back protect from rain, snow, or sleet
- Slip-on removable cover fastened with plated steel screws along bottom edge
- Handles on larger sizes (see table)
- Embossed mounting holes on back of enclosure
- Knockouts in bottom of 16 and 14 gauge enclosures
- Provision for padlocking
- No gasketing
- Enclosures are finished with paint over plated surfaces
- Top and bottom thickness gauge is the same as the body thickness gauge unless otherwise noted in table
