Keyscan introduces wireless NETCOM2WH Converter offers wireless, point-to-point connectivity for access control units Keyscan Inc. today announced that it has introduced the NETCOM2WH designed for wireless LAN applications. Incorporating wireless technology, the NETCOM2WH is a serial to Ethernet convertor that establishes PC/server communication with the access control units. Because it offers wireless point to point connectivity, the NETCOM2H is an ideal solution where running cable is not feasible or prohibitively expensive. The NETCOM2WH supports IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g wireless network standards, is compatible with TCP, Telnet, ICMP, TFTP protocols, and can be programmed with a selectable range of wireless security protocols. The NETCOM2WH offers multipoint connectivity with no limit on the number of units on a WLAN. The NETCOM2WH uses a static IP address and includes a protective housing, which can be wall mounted or flat mounted, and a 12V power adaptor.
