The Midlite 4642-W is a Decora style 125V, 15 amp power inlet used to install power behind your flat panel TV and audio and video devices. The 4642-W is designed to fit directly into a standard low voltage mounting box while you trim it out with the included single gang Decora faceplate after installation. The end result is a recessed outlet that adds a clean space saving look. The 4642-W is very popular for providing a space saving installation of power behind flat panel TV’s and displays. The 4642-W conforms to UL STD 514D, CSA STD 22.2 42.1-00, and meets ANSI/NEMA standard electrical box sizes. Use the 4642-W to give your installation the most professional and organized look.

    In-Wall Wiring—No Patching Required

    I needed to find an electrical inlet for in-wall wiring two wall sconces so that I did not need to fish through studs. This let me run the wire straight down from the sconces and then just plug extension cords from the exerting outlet, so I did not have cut out dry wall, then patch and paint to cross the wall studs. This was the only place I found this type of single inlet electric plug.
