SK-029W-SM-FMT69 - Reads SKC-06 Cards, 26-Bit Wiegand Output, Surface Housing. Touch Card™ technology combines a legacy card technology with a high-tech solid state reader. The cards contain a Barium Ferrite insert, which is encoded by magnetizing spots in a specific pattern with specific polarities. While the original mechanical technology used an insert reader with small magnets and a micro switch, the patented slotless TOUCHCARD™ reader uses sophisticated Hall-effect sensors to read the cards through a stainless steel plate, and it is protected from weather and vandalism. The Secura Key Touch Card™ Reader is designed to integrate into existing access control systems. Models SK-034 and SK-029 read Secura Key cards. Model SK-034 is used for OEM applications, including many popular telephone entry systems. Some versions are only available through OEM suppliers. Model SK-029 is use for access control applications, and the FMT 34 version is used as a slave reader with Secura Key’s 28SA-Plus standalone access control unit. Model SK-028 allows many customers to retain their Casi Rusco Barium Ferrite cards. Output can be factory configured to meet virtually all user specifications. The patented slotless Touch Card™ reader is protected from tampering and hostile environments. The unit is available in a surface mount housing.
