The Greenlee Communications AirScout Wi-Fi Test System will help technicians identify the optimum location and settings for the access point of a Wi-Fi broadband router or access point within a home or small business. Just measuring signal strength in a few locations of the building is not sufficient to gain an understanding of how well wireless LAN devices will operate or not in that particular environment. The AirScout Wi-Fi test system addresses this shortcoming by measuring performance at all la yers from physical to application, both through it’s own radios and through those of the installed "gateway" or access point. The way that the AirScout system presents its results distills a set of complex measurements into easy to interpret heat-maps and "scores" avoiding all the complexity of RF measurements; this makes it easy to train technicians and allows them to explain Wi-Fi trouble to end users quickly. This helps technicians solve problems with Wi-Fi quickly and efficiently and can enable them to "up-sell" additional service capacity or problem solving hardware too. Results are stored in a cloud system and are therefore available to other technicians or customer service representatives in the future. The AirScout ASC300 kit consists of an additional AirScout Client device and accessories. Intended to add to ASK kits for additional test capabilities.
