Bogen VRS3 | Vandal Resistant Speaker

The Bogen VRS3 is a vandal-resistant speaker designed for hands-free two-way communications. The VRS3 consists of a 3-inch, weather-resistant, cone-type speaker and a 25V transformer (tapped at 0.25, 0.5, and 1 watt). The transformer can also be bypassed for 8-ohm operation. The speaker and transformer are mounted on a #12-gauge stainless steel faceplate. The speaker is protected from harm by the faceplate, and three (3) interwoven steel screens. The VRS3 includes a heavy-duty metal push button switch that protrudes slightly from the faceplate and can be used to initiate a call to a control center. The switch can be wired for use with systems that require a momentary contact closure for call annunciation (e.g., Nyquist or Multicom 2000). The VRS3 has a 5-1/2" H x 7-1/2" W faceplate and should be mounted to a three-gang box (5-13/16" L x 4" W x 2-1/8" H), such as the Thomas & Betts Model 3G4D 1/2 or equivalent. Alternatively, the VRS3 can be surface mounted using an enclosure from Quam (model SE3GVP).
