The BURNDY PATRIOT IN-LINE tool platform has been redesigned to meet the growing market need for a smaller, lighter, and more ergonomicIN-LINE tool.The PATMD-LW series weighs just 6.7 lbs. and is only 18.70" in height. This represents a 14% reductin in weight and an 11% overall length reductioncompared to the current PATMD series; offering unrivaled ergonomics and comfort. Newly redesigned, robust jaws featuring proprietary locking tabs anda spring release pin, simplify the jaw change out process. An added layer of safety, as the jaws stay retained in the tool when the release pin is activated.The crimp jaws accept standard BURNDY "W" and "X" style crimping dies. A 350 rotatable head allows the tool to be used in hard to reach areas andan LED has been added to assist in lighting up the work area. Featuring the robust and reliable INFINITY DRIVE transmission, a patentedhigh-speed hydraulic pump system, and newly designed and protected electronic circuitry, the PATMD-LW retains the ind ustry-leading performance, speed, and dependability expected from the PATRIOT line of rugged and reliable tools. Large on/off triggers and hand grip area enhance the user experience, with or without gloves. To prevent accidental operation of the tool, a safety switch is integrated into the trigger.The PATMD-LW is powered by Makita Li-ion batteries for long-lasting power and will accept multiple Makita battery platforms (2.0Ah through 5.0Ah). It willbe offered with a choice of either 3.0Ah or 5.0h batteries. A lifetime warranty on the INFINITY DRIVE is offered along with a 5-yearlimited warranty (excluding blades) for the tool and a 3-year limited warranty on the batteries and charger.
