The idea for the Original Cotton Chums was born on the river by a crafty raft guide who was tired of seeing clients lose their sunglasses to the rapids of the Colorado River. Living in the back of a VW van, that raft guide used a 60 dollar sewing machine to create the very first Chums retainers.
