Corning 012TC8-14190-20 | Ribbon Cable, Plenum 12 F, 50 µm Multimode (OM4)

Corning ribbon plenum cables, including interlocking armored designs, are designed for use in indoor plenum, riser and general-purpose environments for intrabuilding backbone installations and horizontal installations. These cables consist of 12 to 144 fibers organized into 12-fiber ribbons inside a central tube. The nonarmored version contains dielectric strength members to provide tensile strength. For enhanced mechanical protection, the interlocking version offers up to seven times the crush resistance of nonarmored cables and makes them ideal for high-traffic or demanding installation environments. A specially formulated flame-retardant outer jacket allows the design to meet NFPA 262 flame test, National Electrical Code® (NEC®) standards requirements, and is OFNP or OFCP and FT-6 listed and RoHS compliant.

The 12-fiber ribbons have readily identifiable ribbon ID numbers and fiber colors and geometries result in excellent mass splicing yields. The ribbon plenum cables are available preconnectorized for easy field installation and reduced labor costs and are compatible with standard ribbon cable procedures and hardware. The standard jacket color will be determined by the dominant fiber type in the cable and will use the standard part numbers shown here.
