Description
Corning universal multiplexing outside plant cross-connect system (UMOXS) connector is an environmentally sealed distribution connector for single-pair, bridging or multiplexing terminations. The UMOXS connector features environmentally protected contacts using a micro-coating material that is compatible with electronic circuits (non-silicone) and inside wire insulation. The UMOXS connector is designed for indoor or outdoor applications, including building entrance terminals (BETs), remotes and subscriber demarcation points. Each UMOXS connector contains double-sided insulation displacement connectors (IDCs). These IDCs will terminate from 22 to 26 AWG (0.69 to 0.4 mm) plastic insulated conductors with a maximum diameter of 1.2 mm (0.048 in). The UMOXS Connector is easily identified by stamped code numbers and by pair identification markings on the front and back of the plastic molding. It is molded in gray to blend in with other outside plant (OSP) products and is Category 5 rated.
