• The Suprex is a pair of units; a Central Unit and a Remote unit. The Central Unit connects to the access control panel, and the Remote Unit connects to the Reader and its door hardware. The 2-wire RS-485 connection runs between th e Central and Remote units. Recommended when RS-485 is available, for added distance, and in elevators and applications with electrical noise.
• To connect multiple readers in an area, use the SPX-7500, which accommodates up to 8 readers when used with C ypress EXP expansion pairs.
• Other Suprex models are available to link readers with an access control panel over Ethernet, Fiber Optic, or Wireless connections.
