The FRBU is a compact, cap-ended, ready-access, fiber-optic splice closure for use in underground, direct burial and aerial installations. The mid-range capacity and port flexibility offered by the FRBU make it suitable for FTTC, trunk networks and CAT V installation. The FRBU is environmentally sealed to the base using an O-ring and quick-release clamp and can be fitted with a pressure release valve and grounding feed-throughs. The cable entry/exit points in the base are environmentally sealed using either Cablelok mechanical seals or heat-shrink sleeves.
