Marathon MAR-CSUA1278X | Cold Shrink Weatherproof Kit, EPDM, -40°C to 85°C

Universal Cold Shrink Weatherproofing Kits are designed to provide a long term environmental seal for your coax connections. Once installed, Cold Shrink Kits apply a continuous compression seal around the coax diameter which prevents water from migrating into your connections, eliminating the need for time consuming and difficult to install butyl tapes and mastics. Each kit is manufactured from UV and weather resistant EPDM rubber which is factory extruded, expanded and applied over a removable nylon core. These kits are designed to operate in severe climate applications which exceed the recommended temperature parameters for coaxial cable, I.e. -40° to 85° C (-40° to 85° F). Universal Cold Shrink Weatherproofing Kits are designed and manufactured to comply with ANSI C 119.1 applicable sections of Western Underground guide 2.14, UL-486D and accepted by the U.S. Dept. Of Agriculture and the Rural Electrification administration for both aerial and submerged applications. Cold Shrink is tested per ASTM G-53 for UV stability using a UVA 340 fluorescent lamp for 1,000 hours. Each kit is also easily removed for test and inspection purposes by cutting the length of the tube.
