Are you getting the read range you want from your mullion style card reader If not, it’s likely your card reader has contact or close proximity to metal... which causes the interference. This buffer plate is designed to help. It improves the reader’s r ange by separating your RF reader a full inch away from the metal surface and provides a High Density Polyethelene (HDPE) insulator.
Metal surfaces, where access control readers are often mounted, interfere with RFID transmission. This buffer plate optimizes reader range by inserting a one-inch layer of high-density polyethylene insulation between RFID readers and the pedestals, metal hoods or enclosures where they are mounted.
