It converts a IEC-320-C14 plug into a IEC-320-C7 (NON-POLARIZED) connector and is ideal for a device's built-in power cord that doesn't match the available outlet. You can use this adapter to connect a device with a IEC-320-C7 (NON-POLARIZED) plug to an AC wall outlet, surge protector or UPS system with IEC-320-C14 power outlets.
